Seoul Food on Harry Wurzbach Road offers a straightforward, no-frills Korean dining experience centered around classic barbecue and homestyle dishes. This full-service Korean restaurant feels like a practical spot where locals and families come to enjoy generous portions of familiar favorites like bulgogi, LA kalbi, and comforting stews. The interior is spacious and clean, with a casual vibe that invites relaxed meals rather than formal dining.

What stands out here is the hands-on nature of Korean grilling paired with a selection of traditional banchan side dishes that keep coming during the meal. Seoul Food’s menu leans heavily into barbecue staples—marinated ribeye, pork belly, spicy chicken—and hearty stews such as kimchi jjigae and spicy seafood stew designed for sharing at the table. This setup suits groups or anyone looking to dig into a well-rounded Korean meal with several textures and flavors on display, from crispy kimchi pancakes to chewy rice cakes and sizzling stir-fries.

The pace is unpretentious and service reflects a family-run feel, with staff generally attentive and helpful, sometimes offering a warm welcome especially for Korean-speaking visitors. It’s not the place for trendy presentations or fusion twists; instead, it delivers reliably consistent Korean comfort food. You’ll often find a mix of longtime local diners and those familiar with Korean cuisine stopping in for dinners that span casual weeknights through early weekend evenings.

Expect the best timing for a visit around dinner hours when the grill tables come alive and dishes like LA kalbi or spicy pork bulgogi are popular picks. Lunch specials like beef bulgogi also attract those working nearby or visitors wanting a fulfilling midday meal without fuss. While some classic fried chicken options aren’t currently available, many still come here to enjoy the robust flavors of spicy chicken bulgogi and other hearty grilled offerings.

Overall, Seoul Food fits comfortably in San Antonio’s dining scene as a reliable, approachable place for those craving authentic Korean barbecue and traditional soups without the frills. It’s a spot where the atmosphere feels genuine and down-to-earth, ideal for gatherings that prioritize good food and straightforward hospitality over decorative ambiance.

Food was delicious, 10/10. Staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi as well as the beef bulgogi and both were very flavorful. The kimchi pancake was amazing! We were disappointed that they no longer offered the fried chicken dishes on the menu as that was one of the items we were going to order.

I visited Seoul Food around 7PM and overall had a great experience. The food was excellent, I ordered the seafood soup and tangsuyuk, both of which were flavorful and pretty felt authentic. I am planning to try the seafood tangsuyuk next time. The staff were kind and friendly, especially when I spoke with them in Korean. The service style is more relaxed, similar to many Korean family-run restaurants, so don’t expect frequent check-ins. I ended up going to the counter to pay since they were chatting with what looked like owners or management, but it wasn’t a big deal. The atmosphere is casual. The space feels a bit disorganized in places, but still decorated nicely and has a genuine Korean restaurant feel. Overall, this is a solid and authentic Korean option for San Antonio, and I will be back.

Please don’t let the outside fool you! Inside is spacious, clean, and the employees immediately greet you upon entry. They also kept up with our drinks without having to ask them. Love that! We ordered their rice cake appetizer, kimchi soup (number 14), la kalbi, and the stir fry squid. Woah! It was plenty! Plus the bottomless side dishes. Everything was so flavorful. We will be coming back!

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in San Antonio! ???????? Their seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) is seriously the best in the world The new dried cabbage hangover soup (ugeoji haejangguk) is also sooo delicious. Honestly, everything on the menu is amazing—I can’t even pick a favorite! The owner is super kind, and the whole place feels so welcoming. As a Korean, I proudly approve this place as a true Korean food gem!

Great, consistent food! I visit her frequently with my family and are always happy with the service and quality of food. They have one grumpy waitress but she warms up after a while. In general the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food always comes out perfect. Really recommend the LA kalbi as it is my favorite as well as their kimchi jjigae. If you go for the fried chicken, bring a friend. It is a large portion. Delicious and has a perfect crunch but it does take a longer time to prepare, so be aware you will wait.

Best Korean food ever! Finally a kimchi pancake that isn't soggy with grease! It always has crunchy exterior and flavorful kimchi inside. SheeAnn and Kwang-He (I know how to pronounce but not how they spell their names) Are Fantastic! They are so lovely and take great care of you! The owners are the cooks and they serve perfection.

Update: We did takeout from here last weekend for dinner. We ordered the Beef Bulgogi with rice and the Pork Fried Rice entrees with an order of fried Dumplings. All of the food was excellent! Will return again to try new dishes and would still highly recommend this restaurant. We dined in here last Sunday. We ordered two entrees of Beef Bulgogi with fried dumplings which came with a slew of pickled sides. All of the food was well seasoned and excellent tasting and the food portions are huge and enough for two people to share. Great value for the price! Great customer service and the restaurant was very clean. Very short wait time to eat after being seated. We will definitely return again and would highly recommend that you visit this restaurant.
